About Julia Gertz

With a passion ignited in Saarbrücken in 1998, Julia has been at the forefront of IT law. As a Firm Lawyer turned Independent Attorney since 2003, she blends legal expertise with deep insights into mid-sized software companies. Awarded "Specialist Lawyer for Information Technology Law" in 2016, Julia is nationally renowned, based in Siegen but serving clients nationwide.

From 2003 to 2011, she led the legal department at Buhl Data Group, overseeing IT contract negotiation, Mergers & Acquisitions, and personnel management for eight software companies. Julia's academic journey, including two state exams and a Diplom Jurist, laid the foundation for her prolific career.

Julia's commitment to continuous learning is evident in her annual certifications, including the Schwetzinger IT Law Days and the Leipziger Mediationsforum. As a lecturer at Hochschule Aschaffenburg, a member of the German Bar Association's IT working group, and a mentor for KIM and "Stark in Führung gehen," Julia actively contributes to legal education and the development of aspiring leaders.
