Worum es geht

The live demo did not go to plan. In the April 2026 webinar, Christine Vallaure's prompt for a task tracker took far longer than usual, the publish step failed, and she fell back on a backup she had prepared. She kept going, because it showed what she wanted to say about building with AI tools like Lovable: they are fast, results differ every time, and they suit small products, not complex ones. This was a live webinar with Q&A.

What she showed and advised

  • What it is for: prototypes, internal tools and back-office helpers, pitching an idea and learning to work with language models. She builds in plain language and describes what she wants as she would to a colleague. Her own examples: a brief generator that turns a client email into a structured brief and a hiking-route planner. Small ones took about 15 minutes, the bigger ones an evening.
  • How the session went: first a task tracker, then lists, due dates and a login with a database in the cloud. Tips: use plan mode before build mode (it uses fewer credits), keep recurring rules in the project's knowledge section, and paste a screenshot when something does not work.
  • Under the hood: front end in React with a standard look, a hosted database for data and logins, and API connections through secret keys that you never paste into the chat.
  • Limits: generative output differs each time and cannot be rolled back to an earlier result, design fidelity is poor, and she advises against complex products and sensitive data. Her verdict: not for running a company on, but fine for a small product.

Q&A

Developers should refactor and audit through the tool, ask for automated tests and critical review. Before you process personal data, ask the tool about legal concerns in your country.

Who it's for

Designers, developers and freelancers who want to ship small products.
